View fullsize The Volcanoes National Park was completely closed. Luckily the massive lava flow can be seen miles away so we don't have to go shoot this view at Jagger Museum. It's hard to find a good foreground at night though especially when you go with family. ?

Alvin Li is a photographer originally from Guangzhou, China and currently living in San Fransisco Bay Area.

Hi there, welcome to the my personal page! I just started doing photography and I'd love to take all kinds of photos. Currently I'm using Sony A7Rii and A6000 with a couple Zeiss lenses. Landscape and portrait are my main focuses so far. I used to think landscape photography is more attractive since we can see and feel the beauty of our Mother Nature during the trips. However, I changed my mind as soon as I tried taking portraits for the first time. Portrait photography is a totally different area compared to landscape with no doubt. I do enjoy capturing every beautiful / meaningful moment of every model or couple. If I have to define the difference between my landscape shots and portraitures, I guess I would say that I take landscapes to share beautiful views with others, while I shoot portraits to freeze the unique moments for my clients.
